Advance sales are open! Anime on Ice is taking place for the very first time and we don’t know yet how many of you will come. That’s why we recommend buying in advance: you’re guaranteed a place if the event sells out, you save compared to the box office and you help us a lot with planning.
Already booked? You can change the time slot or skate size of your ice rink ticket free of charge at any time via the ice rink rebooking page, as long as something is still available.
Your first anime con of the new year! In Japan, the year begins with the first shrine visit; at Anime on Ice, the community starts the anime year together. From 8 to 10 January 2027, Metropolis Halle Potsdam hosts an anime convention with an indoor ice rink: friendly, cosy and deliberately affordable. Anime on Ice is a joint project by Anime Messe Babelsberg and Filmpark Babelsberg. You’ll find all info at www.AnimeOnIce.de.

- Voice actor panel with autograph session
- Cosplay contest every day and anime quiz on the event stage
- Vendors and artist alley with art and fan art from the community
- Bring & Buy, the community’s second-hand market, with an auction planned for Saturday
- Japanese street food on the forecourt
- Cosplay changing rooms
The programme will be added to step by step. To round off Saturday, we’re also trying to make a small but special Cosplay on Ice show happen. It’s not confirmed yet, though. News at www.AnimeOnIce.de and on the Anime Messe Babelsberg channels.
The ice rink: two ways onto the ice
The indoor ice rink is operated by Filmpark Babelsberg GmbH and is not included in the day ticket. Both ice rink tickets are only valid together with a day ticket for the same day.
- Ice rink ticket with time slot, rental skates included (€17, reduced €14): 2 hours at your booked time. Your place on the ice and rental skates in your size are reserved. You choose the skate size for each ticket when buying.
- Ice rink flex pass, own skates only (€10, reduced €7): on the ice all day, as often as you like. Guests with a time slot ticket enter the ice first, so short waiting times are possible during peak hours.
- Time slots: Friday 14:15, 16:45 and 19:15. Saturday 10:30, 13:00, 15:30 and 18:00. Sunday 10:30, 13:00 and 15:30. Each time slot lasts 2 hours, followed by 30 minutes of ice resurfacing.
- Just the day ticket for now? You can still add ice rink tickets later, as long as they are available.
- If you want to skate twice without your own skates, book two time slots.
- You can change your time slot or skate size free of charge, as long as something is still available - directly online via our rebooking page (you only need your ticket code and the e-mail address of the order).
- Skating aids (€6) and sharpening your own skates (€12 per pair) are available on site. All subject to availability.
- Cosplay on the ice is welcome, but safety first: no long skirts, sharp studs, view-restricting masks or props.
Without your own skates: time slot ticket. With your own skates: flex pass. Best secure your time slot and skate size in advance, each time slot only has a limited number of rental skates per size.

Our recommendation: buy in advance. Advance tickets are cheaper than at the box office and help us plan the event well. As Anime on Ice is taking place for the first time, individual days may sell out. Tickets are available online until 5 January 2027 while stocks last.

Ticket Discounts
Children up to and including 10 years
Children up to and including 10 years have free admission when accompanied by an adult with a valid ticket. Online, no extra ticket is needed for children up to and including 10 years, proof of age at the box office is sufficient. For the ice rink, children need a reduced ice rink ticket.
Severely disabled persons
Accompanying persons of the severely disabled with the (B) mark in their ID card have free admission and do not need to buy an extra ticket. At the box office, simply present the ID.
